The filters eliminate pool sediment and other debris and without them, the pool would quickly become unusable.
Once you have a pool it must be well maintained for maximum pleasure. A pool vacuum system of some sort as well as a pool net is needed. It may be a good idea to have two different nets, one deep net for the removal of large debris and a shallow skim net to pick up small particles that float on the surface. A few good stiff brushes come in handy to rid the pool walls of any algae that might form.

The bare minimum chemicals that you will need are chlorine and acid, there are other pool chemicals that are used to test the levels of chlorine.
