For years, people store their pot by throwing it in a bag and hiding it somewhere, so kids don’t find it. But this only makes your stash to degrade because everything air and light can affect its quality. If you don’t want to smoke it all in one session, how can you ensure your store it well and retain the quality? Here are a few ways you should consider.
Jars are typically the best way to store your pot, and frankly, the most affordable. First, it’s not static like plastic, and second, it won’t make your stash taste weird like metal containers do. Be warned, though. Jars are great, but you can’t pick your sugar jar or something similar and expect to maintain your pot’s quality. Remember, light affects marijuana because it speeds up THC’s, the component that gives you’re a high degradation, into CBS, or the component that makes you feel sleepy after smoking pot. Always go for specialized jars for weed that usually has a special anti-UV glass coating to prevent light damage.
Foil only applies if you plan to smoke it all in a short period. People don’t use it a lot, but aluminum is excellent at protecting cannabis from heat, air, and light damage. However, you can’t keep opening your stash and wrapping it up again. It’s best if you smoke it all once you open it if you want to use this method. When manipulated often, aluminum, especially foil, will bunch and poke at trichomes. Good thing, pot remains fresh for weeks if you use foil without touching constantly touching it.
Humidors may be known because of cigars, but they work fine with marijuana as well. They help control humidity, so your pot doesn’t get mold.
Although plastics aren’t the best options, you can use medicine plastics to store your weed if you don’t have other options.
