A Temecula nonprofit teaches children the performing arts, and their courses cover everything from digital creations to post-production techniques. The JDS Creative Academy prepares kids for work in related industries. The students get hands-on experience from specialty instructors.
- Video Training
In this class, participants will learn the visual and logistic tactics it takes to make a broadcast. A studio director teaches the students how to write, direct, and produce pieces. The workshop covers editing and lighting as well as makeup and costumes. In the end, there will be a live production, and everyone that completes the project will get help finding a job through internship and apprenticeship programs.
- Music
If your child is musically gifted, this Temecula nonprofit offers theater training. Some of the materials covered are harmonizing with small and large groups and moving and singing simultaneously. The teacher at this school taught choir, and she has been a part of Shakespeare productions. At the end of this course, students will perform a play, such as Grease.
- Stage
Some individuals want to focus on set building and stage work. This subject involves painting and interior design, and students will learn the art of stage makeup, including using latex coverings, wigs, and skull caps.
- Writing
Young writers can participate in the scriptwriting class. The instructor tackles a broad range of skills, such as writing for YouTube and commercials. The course prepares authors for real-world work by teaching them how to earn a living with their writing. Students practice pitching their ideas and learn how to submit articles and stories.
