Optimum Cooling Ability
The benefit of cool mist fans over typical fans is the misting process allows for the drop in temperature in the ambient air around the misting nozzles of up to 40 degrees. This then allows the downward push of the cool air with the fans which will then expand to cover the radius area of the fan based on fan size and cooling capacity.
This is very different from a basic fan that just blows warm air and boosts evaporation on the skin to create the cooling sensation. However, with the use of the fan with the misting system, there are some important factors to consider for correct placement of each unit.
Consider Obstructions
Remember, the cool mist fans will distribute the cool air over a specific number of feet from the fan if there are no obstructions. Walls, partial walls, fireplaces, large wall planters, corners or L-shapes in the design are going to limit the range of any one fan.
